• English A (7th/8th)
English A seeks to guide the student toward the adult world where knowledge, understanding, and communication are of paramount importance. To that end, grammar is set forth as a body of knowledge to be mastered. This course will assist the student in learning how to write more sophisticated sentences, more easily identify subjects and verbs, differentiate the major parts of speech, and effectively use the fundamentals of grammar.

English B endeavors to cultivate skill in crafting the English sentence by studying grammar, vocabulary, and composition from classic literature. Developing habits of scholarship in the student, this course inculcates critical thinking and logic by emphasizing analysis rather than rote learning. The student will study etymology, syntax, and composition while reading four classics of literature.

• English 1 (9th/10th)
English 1 provides a thorough course in the study of English grammar and composition. Students will study grammar, usage, sentence structure, composition, and mechanics. Additional work will be provided in vocabulary building and speaking and listening skills.​

• English 2 (9th/10th)
English 2 leads the student through the regular elements of study: grammar, usage, sentence structure, composition, and mechanics. Special emphasis is given to developing the essay.

• English 3 (11th/12th)
English 3 is designed to further strengthen the student's understanding and use of grammar, usage, and mechanics. Special attention is given to interviews, group discussion, and debate. The student will gain continued practice in sentence structure and composition.​

English 4 is designed to further strengthen the student's understanding and use of grammar, usage, and mechanics. Special attention is given to interviews, group discussion, and debate. The student will gain continued practice in sentence structure and composition.

Language classes are designed to assist students in developing the skills of grammar, improving their use of the English language, equipping them for the task of spreading and defending the Gospel. Language classes will have lessons posted each day, Monday through Friday.
