Biblical principle approach

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Leadership is comprised of three parts for the student to complete or provide proof of completion.

  • Foundational Courses: 30 credit hours

  • Core Courses: 45 credit hours

  • Elective Courses: 45 credit hours

  • Total Credits: 120 credit hours

The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling degree is designed to broaden the understanding of the varied aspects of Christian counseling. This program will equip students with the skills needed to counsel from a Biblical and Christian perspective, rooted in the principles of Nouthetic Counseling and the work of Dr. Jay Adams, and prepare the student to complete the Fundamentals requirement in Phase 1 of the ACBC certification process. This program is not designed to prepare a student for state exams or to practice in secular counseling environments.
